Default Convert RS(non VTEC) to Vtec

i was just wondering if this is possible and how would i go about doing it?

Yes, it's like wiring up a 93-95 Civic for VTEC. Check the EG forum's ECU thread near the top.

slap a VTEC head onto your block and ull have an LS-VTEC

i aint mean to jack your tread but thats all you u need to do to turn ur ls in to a vtech.. with no swapin the ecu or nothing..

i believe all u need to do is get a vtec head, the golden eagle vtec conversion kit i believe, the vtec solenoid, and you should be finished.

cause i have a b18c1 nonvtech on my ls.. and i was planin on puttin a fully build gsr that make 245whp and does 12sec in a quarter mile in a ek hatch.. cause he said he was gonna put a k20 in his ek so his sellin me his for 600.. the motor is build for nitrous.. so i guess i should just get that huh.. but hold on what do i really need to get to turn my ls in to and ls-vtech..

what? b18c is a gsr engine. it has vtec. seriously, listen to the guys who posted above, there are so many threads about this as well as a vast pool of information on the internet. sportcompactcarweb.com has an article on it.

exactly, it's a simple question that has been asked a million times and doesn't need to be asked anymore. do some searching and read the faqs at the top of the thread.

so u said u have a b18ci but ur wanting to convert it to vtec. so which one is it? ill tell u how to figure it out. get your keys, unlock ur door, reach for the hood pop lever, pull on it, get out of car, open hood, look at valve cover, does it say DOHC VTEC? get back with me on that one

Srry for the smart *** remark the day i posted it was not a very good one. And as to your last post
b20 i have assumed it was a vtec dure the the valve cover having VTEC stamped on it. But i dont know all that much about cars, just now really getting into them. I jsut know from what i read stock rs is non vtec. So im just trying to find out %100 if it is a vtec. And from there i can find out what has been done ie heds just replaced or a totally different motor.

TY all once again for putting up with my BS
