Default Transmission question

I just bought a b16 tranny with the code y21, which i was told was out of a del sol. What all do I have to do to the tranny to be identical to a type r tranny

It wouldnt be worth the money imo....b16 is a fine tranny.

my friend has a dc with a gsr block type r pistons and head , my other friend has a h22 hatch. My friend with the dc just got his type r tranny put in and he beats the h22 hatch all day long now. before with his gsr tranny he would lost by a car

that's because the gears are closer together, dude...I hate spoon feeding people ****..you need to get educated and learn how to use that red search link on the top right....Oh! yeah there it is! all red and everything, wait on you to click it!

Guess it makes him feel better to cut on others down. Whats funny, is he wrote a whole novel telling this guy off when the answer was just 3 letters, 'MFR'.

In RL, ****** like that get weeded out quickly, but online, they are free to roam and spew their garbage. I know people should use the search, but what happened to common decentcy. Guess I can't talk much, when people disrespect me I am quick to earn it back, but restitution is a bitch, those damn dentist charge way to much, and court costs...

to answer your question the gearing in the b16 transmission and type r are the same, but the b16 doesnt have a lsd like the type r trans. but to put a type r lsd into your b16 you would have to swap out to a b18 final drive assembly

b16 and itr tranny has almost the same gearings so its not worth the time and money to change it over. just stay with the b16
