Default waste of your time...but would love your advice

Im thinkin of dropping a b18c5 into my 99 ls... or to juss turbo it. i dont really know i wish i could drive a type r juss to feel the difference. i never drove a car wit vtec but i been in many i just wanna kno how the power feels in your hands. but yea anyways let me know what you love the most about your R. Also how do Rs handle boost... im researchin that right now but extra imput is nice. thanks

I hear you can run 6-7psi boost safely on stock engine and yield about 250-260whp... reliably without problems.

Thats enough to molest alot of cars :D


Now, where to get the extra 4-5,000$ without the wife knowin.... mmmm, not gonna happen in this lifetime for me

not alot of ppl turbo their type r, the hybrid forum may be more helpful

lol, funny you mention that. everything new i buy for my R is really not found by the wife as it's under the hood i make 95% of my money in cash and have my left Adidas pocket for bills and the right one for R upgrades i have to make something up about the 2 Brockway units and the Mugen Pedals (maybe) i have on the way hehehehehheheh

if i boost i think i can hide it as well if i stay at a low enough RPM. "hun, that's the Koyo Radiator i got 6 months ago you know about that wtf"

i say boost your ls motor makes more power(if thats what u want) and boost is very addictive plus ls-turbo is a save setup and cheaper

I mean, little goodies here and there like some exterior stuff , or interior she wouldn't mind... thats fine, little 400-700$ items.. but if it came down to blowing 4-5gs.. ya, wheres the divorce papers! no wait.. AXE! off with my head.. haha

And yeah,

Boost the **** outta the LS engine man... i mean seriously, even if you blow .. who cares, the b18b is like worth 600-1000$ for a 99-01 with low mileage and are a dime a dozen, and safer like stated above.
