Default si sway bar on a ex

Im pretty sure my 97 ex does not have a rear sway bar, so can i take one of a 99-00 si and fit it on my car? Will this be a bolt on affair or do i have to modify things in order for it to work?

Your Rear Lower Control Arm should be OK... the USDM 1997 2DR EX 5MT and the 1999 2DR SI both use Honda P/N: 52350-S04-000. Slhondaparts.com shows that 2 of these are needed for 1 car... the LCAs are symmetrical.

These are from a 1999 2DR SI 5MT's "Chassis/Rear Lower Arm"...
http://slhondaparts.com/browse...=true

You'll need:
52300-S52-A01 #027 SPRING, RR. STABILIZER (13MM) - 1
52308-S04-000 #028 HOLDER, RR. STABILIZER - 2
52315-S52-A00 #029 BUSH, RR. STABILIZER (13MM) - 2
52317-S04-000 #030 BRACKET, RR. STABILIZER - 2
52320-S04-003 #031 LINK ASSY., R. RR. STABILIZER - 1
52321-S04-003 #032 LINK ASSY., L. RR. STABILIZER - 1
90002-S10-000 #033 NUT, FLANGE (10MM) - 2
90212-SA5-003 #034 NUT, SELF-LOCK (10MM) - 2
93403-08020-08 #035 BOLT-WASHER (8X20) - 4
95701-08018-08 #036 BOLT, FLANGE (8X18) - 4

I'm not a Suspension expert, but BOY, CAN I CUT & PASTE!!!!

If you run anything bigger than the 14mm spring (52300-S52-A01), you'll likely need a "Sub-Frame Reinforcement", or you run a high risk of "Tearout"...
GL!!

The 97 EX 4DR 5MT still uses the same Rear LCA, but...

http://slhondaparts.com/browse...=true
For some reason, the diagram doesn't show the ASB (Spring) parts... I don't know if this is because of incompatibility, and/or because none of the 4DR "EKs" had a rear ASB... A *REAL* Suspension expert will have to chime in... At this point, I can't think of a reason why the 4DR models wouldn't be able to go with one, but I only know about my car (99 2DR), and what I'm doing with it.

Is there anyone out there with a 4DR "EK" running an OEM 14mm Rear Spring/ASB??? BUMPPPPPP!

I have a 00 EK sedan and i am currently running on the 13mm si rear sway bar. It fits perfectly, no modification needed. U just need the endlinks and brakets to fit the sway bar on ur car. I also took a look at my 98 hatch and it has all the same mounting points. Should fit fine
