Power window problem...broken cable
I'm trying to fix my girlfriend's 1998 accord lx 4D. The driver's side window broke in the down position. She said it happened a couple of years ago too and got it fixed. I took off the door panel and there are two cables that look like they have come untied from each other. They have springs and blue plastic pieces toward the ends. At the very end, the twisted wire cable pieces are all kinked up like they were tied together. The motor is turning just fine.
Does anyone know how to re-thread the cable into the proper position and attach it to the motor? Thanks in advance.

You have to replace the window regulator.
Remove these items:
Mirror mount cover
Door panel
Remove the screws securing the pull pocket bracket. On power window models, remove the nut securing the center stiffener.
Remove the plastic cover.
Carefully raise the glass until you can see the bolts, then remove them. Carefully pull the glass out through the window slot. Take care not to drop the glass inside the door.
Disconnect and detach the connector and harness clip from the door (power window models). Remove the bolts and loosen the bolts, then remove the regulator through the hole in the door.
Grease all the sliding surfaces of the regulator.
Install the glass and regulator in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
Roll the glass up and down to see if it moves freely without binding.
Make sure that there is no clearance between the glass and glass run channel when the glass is closed.
Adjust the position of the glass as necessary.
