Default 500whp h22 stock ignition possible?

i have a fully built h22a made 410whp with a sc34 turbo and log manifold at 18psi now im looking for 500 with a ramhorn and a gt35r but im worried about the ignition. I made 410 with a stock igntion and blaster coil. I wanted to install a msd ignition but the tuner told me i dont need it and it might create conflicts with my hondata200. Should i get a ignition for 500whp on 94octane or leave it stock?

how high are you revving?

yes 500 is possible with stock ignition,,ive personally seen cars at the track make more power then that with stock ignitions

stock ignition on an h22 starts to break up at 380 whp, with msd box and cap you can make 500.

well like i said i made 410 and never had ignition problems just missfiring when i made 300whp so i just put ngk7s instead of 8s. Is there anyone producing over 500 on a h22 with stock ignition in this forum? I tried searching especialy for 93h22acx's setup and he never mentioned a msd ignition on his setup

Stock ignition has been proven time and time again. its not the horsepower usually its the Rpms that cause honda iginitions to become unaccurate but at the 8500 rpm rnage the stock ignition should be accurate and keep up. Sorry to thread jack but has anyone used MSD's new distributor?

That doesn't mean it can be maintained. There's a difference between "revving" and maintaining higher levels of power for a particular purpose.

So yes, it can, but it depends upon what its used for.

Thanks for bringing that back up. This goes for ALL ignitions, not just the H-series.
