little bit of white smoke out of exhaust while under boost.
hopefully, this isn't a stupid question. any way i can tell if my turbo is having oil blowby, or if my piston rings are causing it? i have some white smoke that comes out while under boost (i see it in the rearview, so not that little). only boosting 7psi on a stock GSR B18C1 engine. Thanks for any ideas/input.
how's your tune look? the only way to check too see if the turbo is shot is to pull the charge pipe and/or the downpipe to check for oil. If you think it's the rings, then pull your dipstick or oil cap off while the car's running and see if any oil comes out.
it runs rich, it was previosly tuned, but i'm going to have someone local do a street tune soon. with the oil cap off and the engine running, no smoke. i'll check the downpipe/intercooler for oil tonight. thank you for the info...
