Link for DIY black housing headlights
Is it not self explanatory? Turn the oven on 250, let it pre-heat. Insert lights for 10 minutes. Remove lights. Pry apart with a screwdriver, being CAREFUL to not let the gooey adhesive/sealant drip onto the chrome reflector. Once that's apart, you might as well root out all the rest of the sealant before it hardens again.
OK, so now that the light's apart, go ahead and back the adjustment screws out, alternating back and forth so as to not stress the headlight. Then, pop that socket that's holding the reflector in place (CAREFULLY!)... I'd suggest using a little bit of WD-40.
Then you should have the reflector alone by itself. Sand it good, paint it. If you're still running stock halogens, enjoy having absolutely no headlights. Chrome is CHROME for a reason.
