Plasticgauge the wrong way?? HELP

Default Plasticgauge the wrong way?? HELP

alright i am all ready to redo my plasticgauge but which way is the correct reading? Do i do it like how i marked it in GREEN ? or is doing it in RED the correct way?? and if i do it the RED way, will it throw off my reading??



well i did it the red way and all my readings came to .001, all mains and rod bearings.

use the green, and lay it as straight as possible across the bearing surface

will doing it the red way will screw up the readings?
