Anyone used Gumout or any other fuel system cleaner?
After doing this Auto-X last weekend my tank was close to being empty so I decided to go ahead and add in a bottle of Gumout. It says it's good for 21 gallons, so I should've just put half the bottle in. I guess it was hot that day or something cause I just poured it into the tank and then 3/4 of the way I was like "dooh" and just poured it all in anyways. I didn't think it was going to do too much to my car but I must say I felt a big difference. My throttle response has increased and the car doesn't feel sluggish anymore. I've got almost 82k on the OD so before the next Auto-X I think I'm gonna be doing more maintance on the car. Just thought I'd share my input on it.
Chevron intake cleaner is a beautiful thing. I've used it for years. typically, I'll run 1 small bottle for the tank in a non-racing environment to burn through a tank every ~8-10k miles.
BG manufactures some quality products and I personally swear by BG 44K in tank fuel system treatment. I have been using it in my Legend and ITR for years. They now call it "BG 44K® Power Enhancer™." Here is a link: http://www.bgprod.com/products/fuelair.html
