I have a honda civic 02 lx.....non vtec...What is the exact type of engine in it? What would be better a turbo or a supercharger? I would like this car to last a while. Thanks

 

All of it really depends on what kind of power you are looking for. Superchargers are going to add alot of low end power and torque, a Turbocharger is going to add MAD high end power with the sacrafice of lowend. A turbocharger is also gives you more freedom as far as tunability. They are going to be around the same price, maybe a little more for the turbo (but well worth it). Do you have 5speed or automatic. I prefer the option of boost adjustment on a turbo system, you can adjust your booost on the fly. That is just my opinion....I could be wrong!

 

and another thing on the turbo......you gonna have to do internals to get high boost.......on a s/c you can put them ona stock engine and get about 8psi.....should give you about 70 or so hp.....depending on the s/c you get.....but its all up to you....most like turbos because of the stuff you can change on it... i like s/c's....are you doing alot of city driving....or racing or what.....you should tell us that to.....you want more top end...or bottom.....all depends on what ou want

5 speed. I'm looking for a HP gain, the more the better, but I will be doing quite a bit of city driving so reliablity is very important. Who makes the best super charger?
