civic type r camshafts....
how can you distinguish civic type r camshafts from normal b16a/b18c cams?
are there any markings or numbers on the cams themselves, and just so you know i will not have a normal b18c/b16a cam to compare, so any information about this will be very helpful,
thanks

I have CTR cams and I dont remember any marks or #'s on them. If there is a shop around you call them, If they have stock b16a cams see if they'll let you compare them. I know that probably doesn't help that much , but its the only thing I could think of.

CTR cams have 3 lines, or grooves at the sprocket end. If you stare at a CTR cam next to a stock cam, you can see the difference, the peak on the VTEC lobe is way bigger.
