instalin a head on a d16a6 how to
Do you have the head off already?
Assuming the head is off, you need to have it resurfaced at a machine shop (20-30 bucks) and make sure the block is clear of any old headgasket debris. Using a Z6 or Y8 headgasket is best too. Basically you just lay the HG on the block, put the head on top and then tighten the bolts. Start in the middle and work your way out. You need a manual for this, or you could google for CRX_Workshop_Manual.pdf. Do not use copper spray. Also make sure the head and the block are set at TDC so the valves won't hit when you tighten it down.

What manual are you using?? I have the factory shop manual aka the helms manual and it details how to correctly time an engine.

there are marks on the crank gear
and an arrow or triangle on the block
line those up

since when?
maybe i'm a moron
not saying you're wrong... just saying i've seen too many D's with bent valves for no clearance issues.
to make sure piston is at tdc, you could always stick a straw, or something in the spark plug hole and make sure it is at tdc... if you're like me and don't really trust the little marks.

do people misspell words on purpose or are people really that illiterate? I'm not a lexicon or anything but I would probably be more helpful if I didn't have to stop reading at every other word to figure out what you're trying to say. Not just this thread but it's all over honda-tech.
How do you know Manu isn't doing well?
.... and why doesn't anyone capitalize their first letter of their first sentence? teehee poke
ps:

search would have found it for you, but maybe it's your birthday, so there's a present.
