I was watching Le Man in Dallas last weekend when they posted that Le Mans would be stopping at Mid-Ohio the following week. So Andrew (Cone), Gareth, and myself decided to make a road trip and I do mean road trip. Andrew and I drove the ITR (missing rear glass due to a douche bag vandal which was covered in plastic and tape) to Suja 1 Motoring in Carol Stream to have them begin the process of swaping in the K. Due to the two stops Andrew and I had to make to fix the plastic that kept falling off gareth beat us down there. Then we all piled into gareths civic and went all the way over to a hotel in Bowling Green, Oh to spend the night. We got a good short nap and headed over the track where I took a million pictures with my new Fuji FinePix 5200 ( most of them came out pretty good for the first time using the camera). So heres about a 1/8 of the pictures I took for you enjoyment and I will post more in the album tomorrow with clicky pow. I need sleep..

Actually they don't road race the S2K, it's going to compete in D1. AEM has a S2K as well competing in D1. We asked one of the guys from Realtime, and they said were just going where the sponsorships want us to go. The last two pics I just added. One being the last time my R has the B18C5 and two is the my baddass plastic and duct tape job covering my lack of a rear hatch glass due to some dickheaded vandal. We had to stop 2 times to fix it. Hopefully I will get the car back tomorrow and on tues get a new glass and hit up gingerman before expo..

 

Nice pics man. I was there as well with 5 of my friends. Here are a few pictures. More here. I only brought my crappy point and shoot so I just took a few pictures around the paddock mostly.

The flying Aston Martin when they first brought it back in. Had it fully repaired in about 20 minutes.

I sooo agree on this, I took a couple pics of it when it was in the paddock and a couple on the track. What car did you and your friends come down in? Also that blue tent that is across from the gulf porsche is Frankie Muniz's BMW formula car.

BTW, the RealTime and AEM S2000 compete in Formula D, not D1. D1 is for the real badasses. The only US driver/team good enough to do something in D1 is Rhys Millen.
