Default 2000 Civic Si Tranny

I'm looking to trade for a 2000 si tranny but i had a few questions. Is it just a simple bolt on? Is the final drive the same as the gsr? I want it because of the gearing because i heard it was the same as the ITR minus the LSD.

Heard a rumor that these trannies are weak, is that true?

thanks in advanced.

yup, final drive is same as gsr and itr: 4.400. can't comment on the rumor about its weakness, but my good friend has an si tranny in his gsr and he ******* rips on it hardcore and its runnin' great!

Si tranny rocks. I have one in my GSR with a Quaife(as saturn was saying above) and its aweosme! I dont think its any weaker, as i beat the living snot out of that tranny, with no problems. Oh, and anyone who says the Si tranny has a 4.266 FD, can suck it, i counted the damn teeth on the final drive when it was apart for the LSD install and its the same as the GSR. It really woke my GSR up, its a great mod. Oh yteah, it is a bolt in installation, except for the slave cylinder hydraulic line, but thats no biggie.
