D16Z6 head and MPFI conversion onto an STD, some tech questions.
Since my engine is so caked with greese, i can't see the engine code, even with scratching at it, i don't know what it is, which would probably help me.
Firstly, i'd like to know if i'll have any clearance issues with this head and a Y8 head gasket.
What will my compression ratio be?
Will the Si OBD0 ECU and my harness work okay minus VTEC? (i'll lock VTEC so it's always in high cam). Can i just put the OBD0 Dist. into the head?
That's my basic questions for now, i'm sure once i start the project, i'll have many more.

d15b1, i know you can use the dist. but its not a direct fit, you need to cut the ears on it a little. also i dont know of any clearance issues with the headgasket so you should be fine there, as for compression i dont know.
I wouldn't lock the VTEC like that. I pm'd you a while ago about the dizzy, I thought you said you needed to replace it anyway? Just get the right dizzy and convert to OBD1, you'll be much happier with real working VTEC.
Yeah, we talked about it, but i just asked if i could use the OBD1 Dist with the wiring harness, didn't discuss using the OBD0 to the head.
I replaced it already with a junkyard one, i'm ghetto, it's just a daily driver i'm throwing a little more power at, don't feel like spending alot of money or time.
Engine needs reringed, figure while i have it apart, i'll throw $200 at it to give it some power.
