89 HF----->89 Civic Si seat pan swap????
I have an 89 HF and I read the thread for the seat pan swap https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1062869 so last week, I got some 89 Civic Si seats (in good condition) for $20. The problem was that the size of the pan was different and the bolt that goes in with the allen bolt was in different location. The HF one goes outside and the Si bolt goes somewhat in the middle. I played around for like 2 hrs but I couldn’t find a way to fit the pan.
So my conclusion is that you cannot do a seat pan swap in a HF----->Si or can you?
I have a canadian version of the HF, and the Si seats just bolted right in. I don't know if it's a 90-91 thing, but I didn't know the seat pans where different. Anyone have pics?
Really?? The USDM CRX HF and Si has different bolt pattern. You git the CRX Si seats right? I tried the Civic Si seat and maybe that's the different, but I'm not sure.

I thought the 88 had a whole different floor pan than the 89-91. But I thought it only affected the seat rails, not the seat pan. Or it could be the HF thing.
What I take away from this is that its quickly becoming more prudent to switch to aftermarket seats instead of trying to repair the rapidly aging civic/CRX seats.

Do you have an HF? If so, I don't think it's possible cuz the shape and the bolt location is very different.

Yeah, the pan was so difffernt. I think it's the HF thing but yeah, I'm looking for some bucket seats right now. The only reason I got the Si seat cuz it was very clean.
