ecu plug wiring questions
everyone knows how when a car gets stolen, they like to cut the harness where the ecu is, instead of unpluging it.
Well, would i be able to rewire a 92 cx (5spd) with plugs i got from a 95 dx (auto)?
Is it just color matching or would i have to read through schematics?
Also searched and read through the stickies, no help.

^^ no actually cutting the harness is usually a sign of insurance fraud

wtf are you talking about? i was merely addressing your syntactically ambiguous statement, and correecting you is all...not everybody's car that's been stolen has those wires cut, in my own personal experience of picking up vehicles at auction these vehicles are typically insurance frauds...damn don't get so touchy, i wasn't making accusations

what do you mean "what do you do when your harness is cut?" u put the damn thing back together. the auto should be the same thing, i would get a wireing diagram and pinout and double check it all, you might have to add a few pins or take out some but i have no clue, just wire backtogether.. see what happens

Yeah vince what do you mean you don't know. Just tie the wires back together and it will work. Although your map might read your speed and your iacv might engage your mad vtec. GOD what is the forum coming to.

you should be able to, AFAIK they are the same plugs, but the wire color and some pin locations may be different. just get a wiring diagram and start connectiing your hacked up harness into the correct pins in the plug. you may have to add a pin here or there to the correct location to get it right, and you'll probably have some unused pins in the plug when you are done. automatics have a few extra wires for tranny sensors and such, just depin those.

i don't think the wiring colors or pin positions should be any different... https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1
this is from the faq and may assist you with this, it usually does with me dealing with these problems in the past...
if this doesn't help let me know which diagrams you need and i'll try and pull some up for you
