What you need depends on what engine you get. JDM H22A or USDM H22A1 or H22A4?

The USDM engine, most likely the H22A1.

The engine in the Prelude SH has 220hp I think. The H22A4 is 200hp.

can you get the type s 220 hp engine anywhere here in the US? Is there a reason you rarely see people swapping this engine into their cars?

It's rare and expensive and for the price you can probably buy and build a much stronger "regular" H22 anyway.

I think the Type S motor is just a higher compression ratio and wilder cams with the timing adjusted. Should be cheap to do that to a regular H22

Cams arent cheap. I think they have to do a custom re-grind on all F and H series cams. What did someone say before? $60 per lobe? 16 lobes? 2 cams? DAMN!!

Edit: Pistons arent cheap either.

Im not saying the Type S is cheaper. I'm saying cams and pistons for an H22 wont be cheap.

I know i was just listing alternatives for the Type S for people who really want a type s motor If I were them I would just get a h22 and get it ready for turbo instead.

After looking around, I found this swap to be the best way to get the power I feel is needed in my car. What is the bare minimum required to do the swap into a 94 Accorx EX? I have more than enough tools, but I don't know what parts/special tools are needed.

HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!
