Default Walbro IN-Tank Problems?

Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with the walrbo intank pump locking up or going dead? Second one just did it to me today (less then four months and like 5k miles on it) I jumped power to it with the polarity reversed and it started working again (you do what you gotta on the side of the road). This is second one that has done the exact same thing to me. Its like there is a dead spot on the armature or a loose magnet? Looked at the inlet and nothing was clogging it.

Any similar experiences? Its a 255lph intake but I don't have the specific part number off the top of my head.

Strange indeed man, I have had them in Hondas, Mustangs, and DSM's and never had one die on me.

Are you running it sockless or really low on fuel often or something?

I am using it in the stock fuel pump housing which has a filter on it. The first one I chalked up to overheating from running low on fuel but this one I was careful not to run low. In fact I had just filled up about 10 minutes before it died. Tank was full and the pump was cool to the touch. Weird thing is one you jump it you can drive for quite a while before it does it again. Put about 700 miles on the pump that day and not a hiccup.
