im pretty sure you cant just go out shopping for sponsors. no one is gonna sponsor a nobody. first build an awesome car that will impresss lots of people and then worry about a sponsor. trust me if it was easy everyone would be riding around in pimped out cars for free.

You have to keep in mind that companies view sponsorship as advertisement!!!
The quality of your car has to be such that the company wants to be associated with it.
The car has to be out being seen. Do you have a list of car shows that you go to? Has the car (or your prior work) been in any of the car magazines?
It's up to you to show that the money they spend on you is worth it!!
