Default type r sitting for a while

My car has been sitting for about a year and a half and I change out the gas and dropped some oil down in the cylinders. Anybody have any other suggestions that i should do. Thanx

change the oil before you start her up, let it drain nicely and then start it up.

Id also make sure the throttle body is clean.

Give all the fluids a good once over. Does the battery have 12V? If you hear anything wierd shut her down until you can figure it out.

If you drive it, take it slow and if your confindent put a few miles on the car to get it warmed up and all the fluids properly circulated and what not. Your tires could be out of round as well.

I never heard of someone dropping oil down the cylinders before. How do you do this and why?...

You can take out the plugs and drop a cap full of ATF down into the cylinders. This will help lube them up so the cylinders dont scar. Also if the rings have dried up, the atf will lube everything up.

I appreciate all the advise. The car is running like it did a year and a half ago. Honda is such great quallity. I don't think any domestics motors would have done the same.
