Default Head/Neck restraint?

At what point is a hans or similar device required in SFWD and SRWD in NHRA? And in Turbo Street at NOPI?

The head and neck restraint is needed at 9.59 and quicker.
I happen to have a Simpson d-cell system for sale.

I know it's 9.59 at NOPI, but is NHRA the same? I heard someone say at 9.99 or 135 it's required at NHRA, that's mainly what i'm unsure of.

I dont think that it is required at nhra just a neck collar. It is kind of ironic that nopi actually has a more strict rule than nhra. Go figure

im think everyone should have to have a hans device. toomany racing related deaths could have be prevented if the drivers had a hans(not only drag racing.)

I agree also. I bought one when I was running 12's. It was expensive but much cheaper then a wheel chair. being paralyzed or paying for my funeral.

typically around a 1000 dollars and they're called "HANS device" for Head and neck support device.

basically keeps your **** from snapping in two when you're in an intense crash.

To be a little more specific, it is designed to prevent a basilar skull fracture. Which basically means you spine gets ripped out of the base of your skull. Same thing that happened to Earnhardt. IMO if you're car is fast enough to need a cage, you should be using a HANS or similar device.

Call Luis at Paradise Racing. We use the EXACT same R3 head and neck restraint that the entire JOHN FORCE race team uses. They're made by Safety Solutions
