Default Ebay cold air intake causing sound, or just the engine?

Well I worked on my buddy's accord today, and we took it out for a spin after. Its a 94 accord LX its the 130 hp inline 4 model i guess... I noticed that its incredibly loud above 4000rpms, and it sounds like an indy car. No its not that annoiying fart can sound, it truley sounds like an indy car. Everything is stock on his car except for an ebay CAI he got for like 20 bucks. Is this the reason why its making this beastly sound. If so im buying one. Ill record it and give u a clip

its the intake...the sound is greater when it hits vtec, if you want the sound without spending any money just take the resonator out of your air box.

The words "indy car" and "beastly" should not be used in conjunction with the words "130 hp".

Sportbikes?

And I have a cone filter on stock piping with a stock exhaust. I'll admit, it sounds pretty mean, but nowhere near an Indy car. Hell, nowhere near a Honda with real VTEC. It does make driving a lot more fun though

Why would I **** my pants? What would make it sound any different than any other Accord with an intake?

Eh... "Beastly", to me, would be something like the cammed, stroked, 454-powered '67 Camaro that lives in the neighborhood. Sportbikes? Sure, they're fast, but not what I would call beastly. That's just my opinion though...

If you put a larger exhaust on your car wouldnt it sound louder too? Same principle. Larger piping=louder noise. Mine sounds great and I love it. Just enjoy the mod and the sound.
If its too loud for da ears put a muffler on it, lol.

Make sure that you change that filter to a AEM dryflow or to a K&N. Those filters on the ebay intakes are made very cheaply.

That means he has a F22B2. Yes, still a non-VTEC but not a F22Ax.

Don't be so quick to flame someone when you yourself didn't even post up the correct info.
