coolant temp prob. help

coolant temp prob. help
ok so i juss got done puttin a 95 b18c in my civic. right away i found i needed a coolant temp sensor, so i got anew one and once it was in vtec wasnt hitting. so i checkd cottonuity in the wire to ecu. the wire was bad. so i replaced it. with the new wire and sensor, everything worked for like a day. now vtec hits, but temp gauge reads nothing, and the cts is doing nothing. any ideas?
