B16a2 Cams vs Gsr cams.....tired of searching@$#@%$#@%#@%@%@
i have a stock 99 si b16a2. i can pick up some gsr cams for $30 from a buddy. is there a differance in 99 si b16a2 cams vs 99 gsr's? i found there a dif in old b16a and gsr but the question is differance in 99 si b16a2 cams vs 99 gsr's.
oh yea its going to be turbo'd with a ramhorn mani on a 60-1 stg 3 wheel on 14psi

well hmmmmmmmm.....i got a 00em1 and i put them in and yea, there is some noticable power, iono i picked them up for 50 bucks and installed them myself all i know is that it gives me more power than my i-h-e-and testpipe....alot of midrange power and top end....i'd say get them....its a good upgrade....i've done it and its worth it.....

Not even close to true, there is a decent difference between the two, and there are dyno graphs to prove it.

well if you put the cams in then tune them there is going to be a difference but im pretty sure the cam profiles are pretty close the the same i believe the gsr ones are a little bit more powerfull but nothing noticable

i havent dyno my car yet, but you could feel alot more power in the mid range....and whoever told you that gsr cams are basically the same as 99-00 si's know notting about cams....when i took mine out b4 replacing them, i compared them, the gsr has a bit more lift and duration than the si's....the difference is quiete noticable and well worth the money....

There are dyno charts to prove this. IMO it's just common sense. Cams for a 1.8 are going to be hotter than cams for a 1.6.
