Default turbo turbine ....too big?for ls motor?

stock ls motor
i found out my turbo is a 54trim oe .63 AR stage 3!

the turbo rebuilders told me that stage 3 wheel is gonna lag like ****..like 5k fullboost becuase of the stage 3....usally .63 stage one is fine
hes telling me i should go with a .48 AR

boost will be at around 3!

my goals are <250 so i would like boost to be around 3.......

for the smaller wheel its gonna cost
$100+my 63 turbine+turbine housting
for new GARRETT parts

should i do it?
i just dont wanna loost traction due to it spooling too fast

since its a stock LS motor and your goals are less than 250hp, i would just leave it. even if you change the wheel, youre not going to get power at 3k rpm. i say save your money!

maybe keep the wheel. get smaller exhaust housing? you can change the spool time if you run 2.25inch ic pipes instead of the general 2.5inch. also 3inch downpipe

Its the compressor wheel, that would cause a problem with "lag". In this case, though you're fine. Keep it as it is...
