hey i have a stock ls motor on my ek, and plan to piece together a turbo kit. im probably going to keep the motor stock other than ls stage 2 turbo cams from crower,valve springs, retainers, and port and polish. other than that everything is goin to be stock. i want to convert to obd1 and run a turbo program. i plan to have atleast 250 to the wheels, but am having trouble deciding what turbo to get. it will be daily drivin, but taken to the tracks as well. i want good horsepower, but am willing to sacrifice a little lag for the extra horsepower. any suggestions on what turbo to get. oh yah should i stay with the ls tranny, or is there a better b series tranny to use for boost. thanks

 

I had a T3/T4e 57 Trim with a stage 3 wheel on the exhaust side and it just lagged too much in Auto Xing.

 

Garret T3TO4E 57 trim .63 AR for street/strip

Garret GT28RS for Autocross

You can have 250whp without the head work. Although the head work is going to change your powerband for the best. I would recommend one of the three with .63 A/R turbine housings. These will make 250whp easy but leave room for more power.
