Default Turbo help...Thread is a little long.

Ive got a 93 hatch with Garret T60, ext. wastgate, 450cc inj., skunk2 vafc, walbrol 255, aem rail and regulator. Now, put on the kit with resistor box and all, with a stock p28 it will run fine untill I go more than quarter throttle. After that, a lot of popping and black smoke. Had my other ecu tuned at 9 psi on the shops car. I know sounds dumb, but I live far away. With new ecu, it ran fine in two of their cars, but in mine, it bounces off relimit at 4800. This is the 9th program we have tried. Any suggestions that they may have over looked. It basically is flooded with stock ecu, and cant rap out with new ecu for the 9th time. I have a new sprind and what not. Im lost. Will look into even the dumbest suggestion as long as it doesnt say go back to the shop.

so you never got it tuned at the shop though just a basemap right? not sure why its hitting rev limiter at 4800 but reason for popping is probilby because its not tuned for you setup. you have tryed 9 different maps or different burnt chips? i would ask this question in FI forum. also maybe tell us what program your using. but what my guess is that you just need to get a tune on the car. sounds like you dont have a good plan for tunning at all and will blow ur motor soon...

The car was originally tuned at 12 psi so it would blow, just last long enough to have some fun. It has been programmed for the injectors as a base map. It has a chrome chip, and it ran perfectly fine for the first few days. Its been like this for about 2 months now. It just makes me miss the nitrous. It seems so hit and miss with the power. One race I cant get traction till 3rd, then next I can hardly spin them.
