exhaust manifold cleaning question

Default exhaust manifold cleaning question

recently i purchased a exhaust manifold for my civic it is kinda rusted. is there any way to clean it up before i install it?

you can sand blast it or get some rough grit sand paper and start scrubbing along with a brillo pad and steel wool

i heard about putting a coat of high temperature paint after sand blasting.. should i do that also?

Indeed...A quick spray helps keep rust away.
