Supercharger??
I have an 88 DX which i will be replacing the d15b2 with a B16a1 and i want to supercharge it. I know it takes power to get power so i want the best low down. Nobody talk me into turboing cause its not gonna happen. I dont want a turbo, i know it less expensive and yadda yadda. What i want to know is , what are the best internals i can go with for the most power?.. For example) Pistons, valves, valve springs, rockers, cams, camgears, pulleys, clutch, flywheel, tranny, fuel injectors, water pump, and anything else i left out. Feel free to add in there.
If your going to say anything negative in this post dont bother replying.
This car will be a daily driver and every once in a while go to the track with. Pretty much sumthing to have fun with.

it depends on the type of supercharger you are looking to go with, lowering the compression would be a good way to keep detonation away since the b16 have higher compression pistons and still be able to use a full b16 block and recieve good power without having to resleeve or get new pistons rods ect.
b16 motors turbo or supercharged are good for around 300 hp or less. meaning you can get away with useing a stock block without any problems passed a certain point.
most people i have seen with superchargers dont do alot of internal modifications as most superchargers dont make pullies passed a certain psi holding like 10psi or whatnot....custon pullies can be had to make more psi. but i dont feel a need for internal being beefed up if at most you are going to run is 10psi (not saying that is the most you are going to run) but just saying you can be safe with a oem block up untill a certain ammount of Horsepower or psi.
you should think about the ammount of power you are looking to get. ammount of boost you are looking to make. also look into the supercharger, how much psi can it handle, are there upgradable pullies, how much psi do those hold and so fourth... basicly building the motor around how much power the supercharger can make is your best bet. otherwise major components and only using like 12 psi would be a waste of money...
also i agree and disagee with the turbos are cheaper.. cheaper being a focus word, cheaper=not as relieable
superchargers and turbos can run you into the thousands easily if done up right.
most people look into the jackson racing supercharger.... but prochargers makes nice ones too.

Im not trying to put a ridiculous amount of hp out , i guess what u said and build up to what it could handle. Jackson racing chargers only add 58 horse, Vortech makes ones that do the same and have ones that make 102 to 117 more. As far as prochargers , ive never heard of them, who would you rate best? Also i think around 250 in hp would be my goal. What SC would you recommend. Im really confused, im lookin at JRSC's site right now. there sayin that e B16A2 is only 138HP for the 99-00Si but on OsakaJDM the engine specs say 168 for the 92-95Si So its sayin the the newer B16A2 has less Hp than the old ones?. Does that sound right , or is one of them definatley wrong? heres the link .....

Or am i confusing myself with JDM and USDM? Somebody kick me in the face. PLEASE!!!!!!!
What would you do if you were in my position tryin to make 250 with a supercharger?

I don't think you can make 250 hp on a jackson racing supercharger.
But, they are a hell of alot of fun. I put one on my d16 and its a blast. Very reliable and easy to install. Jackson Racing has great instructions and great tech support. I highly recommend this company.
Their kits are designed for stock motors with mostly stock components. But I think with a kamikazi header and a crv crank pully, some injectors and a tune, you should have a conservative 200 hp.

If you want anything more than 200hp, then go with procharger, or Vortec. Procharger is company that started in the domestic aftermarket buisness, and they have the "Best" supercharger system avaiable at the moment. The domestic community swears by Procharger, and they just started offering a kit for imports. It's very similar to the vortec kit, just puts out more ponies, but pricy if I remember.
cometic headgaskets are thicker than oem. lowering compression ratios and keeping detonation at bay. making higherhorsepower and higher boost possible and safe with a turbo or supercharger.
prochargers will put out more hp and at lower compression ratios have high boost pressures (psi) more than you could imagine running with a jrsc.
basicly you could say that a procharger kit would be more of a ''built block'' supercharger kit. it can make more power and make more psi so needed forged pistons high lift cams and whatnot more of a ''needed'' thnig.
instead a Jackson racing SC is more of a bolt on and go. they can really make a insane ammount of power to need the use of forged internals or all kinds of extra bolt ons and whatnot. basicly bolt and go...... but you will have people who do. do built up block with the jrsc its a matter of prefrence.
a 92-95 jdm b16 out of a sir is 168hp and 113tq you are correct the newer b16 have less horsepower and torque. the older 92-95 b16 have higher compression
also are we talking flywheel horsepower or wheel horsepower.... normally turbo or SC you are looking at around 100whp extra with moderate boost pressures on a stock block... if you say that the wheel horsepower a b16 makes is like 140 add 100whp from sc you are looking at 240whp... its not that hard to make the power, it just depends on your supporting modifications
