Default Clutch help on 97 civic.....just did swap.....

I did a clutch swap on my 97 honda civic CX....now the clutch pedels goes to the floor and the car doesnt move. The reason i did the clutch swap was because i had this bad whining, grinding type sound when i the clutch pedel was pressed. When i de-press the clutch pedel the noise come on and it is a horriable sound. Well the sound is still there and the car is not moving.....any suggestions before i tear back into this.

that grinding sound could be your throw out bearing. did you replace that? what exactly did you replace when you changed the clutch? pressure plate? clutch plate? flywheel? throw out bearing? what brand of components did you use?

I replaced disk , plate, and throw out bearing. I am not sure i the brand....i bought the kit a advanced auto parts. Would there be a need to bleed the lines, even if i didnt open the clutch lines? I can put the car in gear and give it gas and it goes o where.....it is almost like the clutch is staying in disengaded.

Sounds like you have a broken axle or transmission internal part...pull the axles and check them. Can you put the transmission in gear without stepping on the clutch while the engine is running?
