Default 2 Questions on 2002 Civic Coupe

Well, I am a newbie. no surprise? ok, well I took out my factory deck today and installed a new one. Now my Remoteless key entry stopped working.. I know I should of bought a aftermarket harness, but I did not. So I hard wired it. The only wires I snipped were the ones to the Factory harness. How do I fix it?

Also.. I might have a bad ground you tell me.. I ran all my wires through like your suppose to, hot wire through firewall and my ground is under 18 inches.. It is mounted on the back of the seat. I cannot turn the volume up passed 20 or the back speakers (including subs) Cut in and out -- RCA's are hooked right and so are the speaker wires. The ground is touching metal and I can see the power LED on the amp dim when passed 20 on volume. Is it a bad ground or really do I have something F*C*eD UP? ... Using a 8 gauge amp kit. It worked fine after I took it out of my other Civic.. But I did not have the time to install it .... now I have free time to do it... And I did pay someone else to install it and they got it to work right.. Last time I installed the POS it did the same thing.. Amp LED went dim... No I don't need a capacitor, yes my alt works fine, new battery good juice.. It seems as though that the AMP is pulling plenty of power just not grounding right.. Where is the best place to mount the Amp on a 2002 civic.. Left or right of the back seat? Where should I ground it? Thanks for any replies.. Sorry for bad english PS I used a tapper screw to make the ground with the paint scratched off too..

The key-less on a 2002 is not tied into the oem radio the way it was on 96-98 Civics so I would look for a blown fuse.

I think you are correct, you have a grounding problem with the amp, where exactly is it grounded now, it sounds like you have it grounded to the seat itself, if so that is wrong, move it to a seat belt bolt or a bolt the holds the seat bracket in place. 94
