Default cams for ls vtec

yea i have a B18b block and a B16 head with GSR cams and stock bottom end what is the biggest cam i could run with out having piston to valve contact thanks for the help

if your running the stock ls pistons, you can run a pretty big cam since the pistons are lower compression than vtec(b18c1,c5, b16a2, a3 etc.) pistons. if you are concerned about the clearance, theres always clay.

if your runnin on stock valvetrain, the best cams for you would prolly be the CTR or 00-01 ITR cams. Now if you have stock itr valvetrain, I've heard of people runnin the Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, but if you get the S2S1 i wouldnt prefer reving no more than 9k. CTR's or 00-01 ITR cams should do it
