I am having a really big problem with my ignition... my car wasn't running correctly so I figured it to be the ignitor from the symptoms. I bought a $160 ignitor from a local parts store with I think was the wrong one.. I started the car and it began to idle for about 20-25 seconds then procedded to die. I returned the car to original ignitor and still nothing. I also found problems finding the proper distributor cap and rotor. I had a b16a3 installed in my ek at a local (hack) shop. The date code stamped on the head reads 96. When I went to the parts store to replace the distributor cap and rotor the only cap that matched was for a 94-97 GSR.

I would appreciate any knowledge on where to go for the correct ignitor or what could have happened when I had the incorrect one in.
