Hey im looking at getting the greddy evo 2 dual tip catback system and headers, for my 00 ex v6...my question is if i get these parts and install them is it going to make my check engine light come on because there are supposed to be sensors that plug in at the headers, or the cat? i guess my real question is are there sensors that will be affected by an aftermarket exahst system? thanks!

 

Not as long as you keep the cat inbetween the header and exhaust. If you just use a piece of pipe there and don't keep the 02 sensors yes your check engine light will come on and your car will pretty much run like crap unless you get a 02 sim or something like that.

 

so will the aftermarket exahst come with a place to plug in the O2 sensor?

 

Let me give you a very simplified desription of the entire exhaust system:

Engine > Headers > Cat > Cat-back exhaust

The rear O2 sensor plugs into the cat, which you are not replacing. Your new headers should have a bung to install the front O2 sensor. There are no sensors that plug into the cat-back exhaust, whether OEM or aftermarket.
