Jacked car in the air to spin ITR LSD trans. Only one wheel spins...
I spun both wheels, the opposite wheel doesnt move at all. Turned the car on and put it in gear. Both are moving.
I know this isnt the best way to check for LSD...but shouldnt the opposite wheel being spun move?
I called mythias and he confirmed that the opposite wheel will spin the other way.
I spun both driver and passenger wheels...both clockwise and counter-clockwise. Only the wheel being spun moves. The opposite does not.
The trans is supposedly brand new and bought from Honda as of Novemeber and has approx 3,000 miles on it.
J4D LSD has been "washed away" due to brake cleaner being spilled on it.

yeah what i'll probably have to end up doing...however my main concern right now is why the other wheel doesnt spin either way.

No.
No.
You need to have it in gear to check.
Limited slip differential
Operational check
1-Set the parking brake and block the rear wheels
2-Raise the front of the vehicle and support it with safe stand.
3-With the engine off, shift the transmission in first gear
4-Rotate either front wheel by hand and check that the other wheel rotates in the
opposite direction.
5-If the opposite front wheel does not rotate, or if you cannot spin the front
wheels at all the limited slip differential is faulty and should be replaced.

indeed you do. in gear, the opposite wheel spun the other way.

DOn't u have to be in a gear??
Easiest way to test out your LSD is hold your RPMS at 3-4k RPM and turn your steering wheel (Best to do this in a parking lot) and HAMMER the throttle! both wheels should be pulling you!

the right way to check it has already been mentioned, discussed, and tested. your comment sounds like pure stupidity to me
