Default I put on a new distributor and its running worse now??

I bought a OBD1 GSR distributor from someone here on HT and it was brand new from Honda, he used it a little but it still looked brand new so I dont think its the problem. Well, I have an LS/vtec motor, and was using the LS dizzy so I had to cut the harness on the new one and solder on the connector from the old one to plug it in- there were the same # of wires and all the colors matched up perfectly so thats not the problem... I have a MSD SCI ignition box too, but I didnt mess with anything except the internal coil on the dizzy and I did it just like I did my old one so that cant be it either.

I put it on, started it up and after a few seconds of idling there was a little "hiccup" from the motor (thats the only was I can describe it???), and the CEL came on. Code 19- which is Autmatic tranny lockup control valve, which is bullshit cause I dont have an automatic tranny. Ill check it again later to see if its different cause I did it like 4 times and it came up 19 every time. Sometimes the CEL comes on after like 5 seconds, and sometimes like 5 minutes.

Also its running rich as ****- and below around 2500 rpms, a lot of the time when I am accelerating slowly, below about 50% throttle it will studder and jerk like its about to stall out. Its worse when its cold, but after it warms up it doesnt so it as much, but it also almost dise when I let off the gas and it is dropping back down to idle.

I dont know if I should get it retuned, since my old dizzy is what was on there when I got tuned last September, and when I opened it up there was corrosion and sick **** all in there. And could it have anything to do with the weather changing along with other factors that its doing this? Thanks, and sorry again for the long *** post cause my car is being a bitch

you ask for help and then insult..you might have just insulted anyone that would/could possibly help. You might wanna check the dizzy again, even brand new there are large numbers of bad units. my friends V8 5.0 was messed up, first thing he did was buy a BRAND NEW dizzy..didn't fix problem. he pulled the MOTOR apart 3 times looking for something that would cause it..long story short it ended up being the dizzy. The new one he bought was bad and ended up costing him thousands..

also, did you replace the ENTIRE dizzy or just parts?
