I am trying to figure out what manifold I got from the guy that I bought the car from. I have afew pics of it and some pics of misc parts that I don't know what they are. I have a y8 manifold right now that I am selling and putting the stock one back on. I know I am going to lose a few hp but that is fine. If this isn't a z6 manifold, that is no biggie, I have a whole motor coming at the end of the week anyway.

The y8 manifold that I have now, a few questions:
Yes I know the map sensor is rtv'ed into the manifold, that was not my doing.

What is the part on the left and on the right and why is only one line connected to the piece on the right?

That is the fitv right, does it go on the z6 manifold?

 

looks like the HF intake manifold to me - the part on the left side is the EGR valve - the part at the throttle body is the dashpot and the white plastic piece on the driver's side end is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor - on the Y8, the part on the left is the fuel pressure regulator - the one on the right is the Purge Control Solenoid - it isn't connected and appears that the one on the firewall is being used instead

Alright, that makes sense after looking at it. Good thing I have the z6 coming at the end of the week.

Does the Z6 manifold have the connection for the fitv?

 

You should keep your y8 manifold. I have one on my Z6, in my beater, and it is great.

I'd rather just put what i can back to somewhat stock and work up from there. I have someone interested in the y8 anyway so i may get another one one day.

 

hey the part on the left (canister looking thing) is the EGR valve?.....on my b18a1 in my 89 civic si i have the same thing on the manifold...but i dont see anywhere to plug it in at??.....any suggestions???...do i need it?
