I like how the NACA ducts are molded. I thought it was supposed to go to the bottom of the rotor though?

If I was only allowed to use the turn signal area for brake ducting. I'm going to have to cut the corners of grill out and do it from there.

You could always do it the Matt Jensen way:

Christian, how is the hose attached near or to the rotors? Or is it just affixed nearby? I have a similar setup with NACA ducts and hoses but haven't installed it yet (something else that I can't seem to find time to do) but have always been looking for a better way to direct the airflow to the center of the rotor not just in the general direction and I don't want to pay for anything. Thinking of making a air director like the one D had started years ago.

looks like home dryer ducting from Home Depot to me.

Question would this kind of duct, make a good source of air for an intake ?

or why would you not do this for an intake instead ?

I would guess it's because the ID of the tubing is not smooth.

I have images in my head of that becoming a crank pulley cooler aswell pretty soon. I would try and move that away from it man.

You can make a small bracket, support it by one of the oil pan nuts, and zip-tie the brake duct to the bracket to prevent rubbing on the crank pulley.

Would the duct openings in the bumper not be more effective if the ducting met them farther back (i.e, with less of the ducting "sticking out" of the duct openings), so that a greater volume of air was directed into it? Just a thought, but either way, nice work.

...then get it finished and get out there!

John W and I had a great weekend at CMP. We turned fast laps just tenths apart during the races; he won Saturday, I won Sunday. Good Stuff!

Soon, I'm finishing up a few things and then we'll see what happens. You guys gotta play nice when I first get out there. All I've been thinking about since CMP last year out of the last turn, was DAMN these guys will be all over my ***. Then the thought of bump drafting came to mind. That's still a scary thought.

Me too.

So how do they work? How would you test it? A few laps with out the ducts; laser thermometer test. Then a few laps with the ducts; laser thermometer test. Compare?
