Ipod Solutions
I have a 2006 Accord. Having read countless horrible reviews about the HML, Honda Music Link ipod adapter, I am wondering what is the best solution to connect one's ipod to my car?
I have discovered this device http://www.mp3yourcar.com/prod...D=944
which seems to be a good option...but it's 200$, are there no cheaper routes?

In my opinion i would get the Harman kardon drive and play it is 200 but its defiantly worth it. It goes into the back of your stereo and you have a lcd screen to control the ipod. http://www.mobilewhack.com/ima...1.jpg
anything that isn't wired into your stereo imo wont sound very good.

I don't know where you got your review of the music link, bur from my experience it works good. It's very easy to install and with the TTS software it integrates well with your stock radio.
Really? Perhaps they are old but I've read maybe 4 different reviews that say the software is a pain and unreliable...though the sound quality is good. Here is an example:

Also i read that the music link doesn't work for my four button older generation ipod.

In my accord I have an alpine headunit with the alpine connection setup. It's great but I hate controlling my ipod from the head unit. If i were you i would try and find some sort of simple cable that connects to you headunit and to the headphone jack. That gives good sound quality, is cheap, and allows you to still use your ipod's interface, which is pretty good. Cables are made that connect from the headphone jack to a cd changer port or to an auxiliary input (red and white). If your accord has either of those that's what i recommend.

Your right the music link only works for the newest generation iPod (not a nano or other) And really I don't know of any "perfect" TTS software. But from me just testing my installs it works perfetally with your radio controls and your iPod safely stored in your glove box.
With iTrip, you always have to designate radio stations or whatnot. For my '96 accord, I use one of those tape player things that hook into the headphone jack of your iPod. In your case, you could get a new deck that has an aux port, and get some cables and connect that to your iPod.
fm modulator...is the simple way to go...
I bought mine at car toys.... only 50 bucks, sounds perfect and clear. The best part its still around. They used to this unit to play cd changers back in the 90's, before built in cd changer support.
Buy this before its to late, once everyone knows the prices will jump up to 150 or more.
