pcv valve question
Where the hell is this thing on my ancient, yet still awesome handling, 1987 carberated prelude!?!? I bought one to replace it but i cant for the life of me find the stupid thing. thanks for any help
ok i really am not sure about this one, but try looking for a hose coming from the top of your intake manifold going somewhere to either your valve cover or one of the intake manifold runners. The plastic piece going into or somewhere near the valve cover or intake runners will be the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve you are looking for. I hope this helps.

i wish it was that easy but its not. I found a picture of the old accord engine that was a single carb and the pcv on this car runs into the intake manifold from underneath, around where the oil filter is. I looked in this area the last time i did the oil i still couldnt find it. this is really starting to bother me.
On that specific application, I am not sure, but the pcv valve should plug into the valve cover somewhere. There are only a certain ammount of hoses running to the valve cover, one should be connected to the pcv valve, it just pops out of the valve cover..
k i found out where it is from someone on hoondaprelude.com. The hose runs from the crankcase, into a little black box, which houses the pcv valve, and then into the undrside of the intake manifold. What a pain.
