Silly (OT) question for a "friend," re: injectors.....
Ok, my buddy has a last gen civic si with the basic JRSC kit...
His numbers are 200whp/140wtq.
Now to date he has had the usual problems with detonation in the upper rpm band, etc.....
And for some reason he though his stock si injectors are 210 - although I would swear most honda's are 240, right?
Anyway, he was set on getting some bigger injectors in preparation for the 8lb pulley upgrade he wants to do next..... He thought some Venom 270's would be a nice upgrade.
I advised him that at a minimum to go with 290cc 97+ prelude injectors, and since he is still going to use the stock ecu for a while (I suggested hondata in the future) - 310-320 rc injectors or maybe accel? Somebody give me some suggestions on what to tell him... I know it's way OT, but a lot of the good tuners hang out here too...
Now he's asking me if the itr and b16 fuel rails are the same.....

since everyone in here insists their 180 hp jun/toda setup requires 440cc injectors, i guess on a boosted setup youll need at least 880cc with 2 1500cc backup injectors........
j/k....prelude injectors would be a worthwhile upgrade, as well as some sort of fuel management.....
and oh yes +1

Go with a 270cc RC or a 290cc Honda (Prelude). The later is probably the best. I still think 310cc is too big for a 1.6L running 8psi on a jackson. You run into too many problems with idle pressure and poor mixture.
He's also going to need an FMU (Cartech) becuase the stock 5:1 Jackson will be too much for the larger cc injectors.
Replace the fuel filter too.
