Anyone with a 96-00 Civic HX please click here
I can't get mine to ever come on but I'm just wondering if the HX has a fuel light. I see it on the dash but it's oviously never has come on for me. Just wondering if this car is even equiped with a sensor or if the light is in the just in the dash for the EX ect..ect models?? If anyone has any answers please let me know... Thanks

it's not just a problem with HX's. I have never seen it come on either, but I'm sure my bro(previous owner) has seen it come on when it was newer. Just keep a tab on how many miles u can go before filling up, and you'll be okay.

Only time I've ever seen mine on was when I parked on a hill. Most fuel gauges "scare" you into getting gas to keep you from running out.

yeah mine comes on but it always seems like the needle is on e before the light does finally come on. Ive never run it out of gas but i had the light on steady for a while when i was driving. I kept wondering when It was going to die but it never did before I got to the gas station.

ppl.....R E S E R V E .....thats why it didn't run out right away...once the light comes on you start using the reserve, which is usually enough to safely get you to a gas station ..

the issue here isn't runnin out of gas or not running out of gas when the light comes on, but rather the light no coming on at all.
