Default valve spring/retainer compressing question.

What Valve Spring Compressor are you guys using? I went and purchased one from Sears today and I cant seem to get it to angle properly is there a different kind/version i can pick up that will make the job easier?. Are there any Tips/Tricks to it?

it says it has two different jaws. one offset and one regular did u try both?

what have you seen/used cuz the only other "kind" im seeing is the Snap On one and thats like $120...

I think the one i saw id used for domestic cars and u have to bend the tabs that push down on the spring inwards (&gt;&lt

SNAP-On makes one for honda & acura's. its $119 bucks. I own one and its great.. just the head needs to be bolted or fastend down.

That is a great kit but a little difficult if off the car. If the cylinder head is off the car i recomend the C-clamp type, pneumatic if you can afford it. The snap on style is great to use with an air compressor as well, you can get a hose with a fitting on the end to fill the cylinder with air, then compress the valve spring, and the compressed air in the cylinder will keep the valve from dropping.
