Default NRG hood dampers stiff as hell?

are hood dampers supposed to be stiffer than hell when you first get them?

I bought a set and hand to put all my weight into getting them to copress, I did it about 25 times and it was still stiff as hell

is there some trick to getting them to soften up?

do you have carbonfiberhood?

cause you got 2 different ones ,one for the cf and one for a oem hood.
springloads are different

sorry I didnt reply, CF ones arent any softer

what u do is get 2 towels put one on the ground, put the shock on it and put another one on top and compress it with your body weight fully about 25 times... it'll still be stiff, but they work, I put them on my friends S2K with the stock LIGHT hood

seems like too much work. products shouldn't require people to do stuff like that to make them work correctly
