TDC??
my B16 in my 90 CRX DX was running real rich, so I took the timing belt cover off and discovered that the car was way out of timing. So I took the timing belt off and fixed the cam gears to be top dead center and engine is at top dead center, however the crank pulley is not on, because I lost the key and have to get a new one. When I took a look at the crank pulley I realized that when I put it back on it wont be at the TDC line on the pulley. However the car is at TDC does it matter that the crank pulley line for TDC isnt at the marker on the timing belt cover? I think that it would be alright. Can somebody help me
well all the crank pulley does is drive the alt. and ps belts. if it slips all you're going to hear is belt squeal. as long as you have the crank gear and cam gear lined up you should be good
everything has to be on point (TDC) single line on pulley has to be set to the pointer and yea u know where the cams go... if not then you wont be getting the right combustion... because the pulley goes the crankshaft and crankshaft goes to the rods blah blah to the piston... you catch what im sayin bro... js make sure everythings on point... and you will be set... if everything really off then your car wont even start up... misfireing and back fireing... not good bro...
