questions about oil pan

Default questions about oil pan

was just wondering if i could use a oild pan from a d15b8 and swap it onto a d16z6? or would i have to use a 1.6 oil pan?

The d16z6 and d16y8 oil pans are not interchangeable though.

so if i swap the 1.6 oil pan with a 1.5 oil pan, nothing will go wrong?

Really?? I was told that they weren't... by two people. So a z6 oilpan will fit on a y8 engine? Have you done this yourself? I ask this for someone with a y8 who needs a new oilpan and the y8 ones are a lot more expensive.

Is a d15b8 a 92-95 CX motor? Then the answer is yes. The part numbers are identical.

All you had to do was go to an online Honda parts site and compare the stock numbers of the oil pans for the two engines.

And... don't over torque those oil pan bolts!!!
