Default best tranny for ls/vtec?

I'm doing an ls/vtec in a crx,what would be better longer or shorter gear ratios,it's going to be a daily driver.I'm currently runing a b16 so I already have an s1 tranny.

depends on what you want, if your gonna be racing it alot, id just stick with the B16 tranny, nice and short gears, other than that, if you can find a B17 tranny that would be nice also, but no LS tranny, unless thats your absolute daily driver and you done entend to race it

ORLY? I pulled off a 13.3@99 with my 190whp LSVTEC y0

LS Trannys aren't bad if you're putting power down, some say they are equivalent to the Hydro GSR. Remember the LS cable has the same FD as a cable B16 tranny.. The Hydro LS has the tallest final ever.

You won't like that B16 5th, I suggest you find an LS 5th gear for that B16 tranny.. It will make highway driving MUCH more enjoyable, unless you like crusing at close to 5000 RPM.

very true highway drives are loud and long for me.. but it prevents you from speeding most of the time
