Default Painting Hubcaps ?

Has anyone painted their old hubcaps to restore them to their original OEM, fresh-outta-the-factory, glory?

Here's what Mine look like now

Can anyone tell me the steps to do the job right?

Keeping in mind I want them to look really stock, but new...and without the whole brake dust eating away at them look.

And, is this just gonna end up looking Rice/teh gay/generaly crappy, and have people laugh at me...

Thanks for any input!

There now is a silver "wheel" spray paint sold in the auto discount stores. Meant for steel wheels. It might match your hubcaps. As usual, sand and degrease the old hubcap to prep the surface. Hope this helps.

i believe krylon makes an epoxy spray paint that is supposed to bond to plastic, might prevent cracking and flaking

I've used those high temp paint for wheels and they lasted a long time.

Does anyone know the best grade, or whatever, of sandpaper to use? I've never done this before.

Thanks!
